On Gardens: Burle Marx and Bawa

The 20th Annual Memorial Lecture, coinciding with the 75th Anniversary of Bawa’s garden Lunuganga, will take the format of two talks, reflecting on gardens.

Isabela Ono, Director of the Insituto Burle Marx will deliver a lecture on the life and legacy of the late Brazilian Landscape Architect Roberto Burle Marx. Shayari de Silva, Chief Curator of the Geoffrey Bawa Trust, will reflect on affinities in the practices of Bawa and Burle Marx. Introduced by Channa Daswatte, Chairperson of the Geoffrey Bawa Trust.
