Lunuganga welcomes visitors of all abilities to enjoy the garden. While we endeavor to accommodate varying needs, please be aware that the garden tour does involve walking and standing for extended periods of time. Additionally, there are steps, steep includes, limited handrails, and uneven surfaces throughout the garden, making parts of the property inaccessible to some visitors. Please contact us in advance with any special access requirements and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

No. 11 is not open to the public outside of tour times. Prior reservations are recommended.Please note that to preserve the premises for future generations and help conserve our collections, tour numbers are limited in size and tickets are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kindly note that if the Guest Suite is occupied by overnight visitors, it will not be shown during the tour. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
Private tours can be arranged with Trust curators by prior appointment for an additional fee.

Dedduwa, Bentota, Sri LankaNo 05. is located on the grounds of Lunuganga. The house is reserved for paying guests of the hotel, and not included in the garden tour. However, a private tour can be arranged with prior reservation subject to availability.

A private tour of the De Saram house can be arranged subject to availability and with prior reservation.Please note that the tour will only include the front and rear courtyards and dining space. Access to the living spaces is not permitted if occupied by in-house guests. The music room is not accessible during the tour.

Tours by third parties are strictly not permitted.
Personal photography is allowed without the use of flash or tripods in the outdoor spaces; publication or commercial use of photographs is only permissible if expressed approval has been obtained from the Geoffrey Bawa Trust. Please contact media@geoffreybawa.org to request permission.
