The Geoffrey Bawa Trust Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is an accessibility-driven initiative that began in 2023 as part of the To Lunuganga programme. Between 2023 and 2024, six members provided their unique perspectives to the work of the Trust and developed ways to connect with and engage a wider audience of young people.
Call for Applications (2025)
We are now accepting applications for the 2025 Youth Advisory Board. The Board will be responsible for creating awareness, enthusiasm and engagement within their student body for the Trust’s activities.
Candidates must show demonstrated interest in architecture, design, and the arts and be enrolled in a degree-granting program in one of the following fields: Architecture/Interior Architecture, Art History, Art/Museum Education, or Interior Design. They must be self-motivated and display collaboration, teamwork, and leadership skills. This position will require a time commitment of up to eight meetings over the period of one calendar year, commencing in 2025.
Selected candidates will be given a stipend as well as free entrance to select Trust events and gifts.

The deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18th, 2024. Selected candidates will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16th, 2024. The selection process will include an interview by members of our curatorial team.

I have a strong interest and passion for interior design, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to join the team and contribute towards inspiring more young people like me to become enthusiastic about this field.
