Discover the power of colour through fabrics and yarn. Join Nelun Harasgama, Sophia Sansoni, and Vidurangi Gunarathne from the Barefoot design team for a hands-on workshop exploring how colours shift and transform in relation to their surroundings.
Workshop participants are asked to bring a photograph of a landscape that inspires a mood, memory or place. The story of this photograph will then be translated into a unique colour palette and patchwork map created from colored fabric swatches. The result will be a personalized geometric interpretation of a place or memory.
This workshop is inspired by Barabara Sansoni’s Araliya and Sky reddha (tapestry), currently on display at the Ways of Knowing exhibition at the Bawa Space.
