In celebration of the opening of the Bawa Design Store, visual storyteller, illustrator and animator Shenuka Correa, will be leading a morning of stitching and socialising at the Bawa Space on Horton Place. Participants will have the opportunity to embroider their own designs onto one of the Trust’s limited edition Lunuganga map t-shirts. 

The Mapping with Thread workshop will include a lesson in embroidery as well as refreshments and a take home souvenir t-shirt. 

Shenuka Corea is a visual storyteller, illustrator and animator from Colombo. She incorporates fiber arts into her practice in the forms of embroidery and crochet. Shenuka's practice focuses on storytelling, drawing inspiration from the environment, history, fantasy and imagination.
