Join calligraphy artist Amaani A. Hamid for a guided workshop on the art and practice of Arabic calligraphy. Participants will be introduced to the rich history of Arabic calligraphy and its evolution into contemporary typography and graphic design. 

Through foundational strokes and guided exercises, participants will explore how simple gestures can generate expressive letterforms, patterns, and personal visual interpretations. The workshop encourages experimentation with shape, rhythm, and mark-making, offering a new view into Arabic calligraphic forms. 

Workshop materials will be provided. This session is open to all interested and no prior knowledge of Arabic is required.
